CHRISTINE J LODICO
I am an Interior Architect from Columbus, Ohio, USA, and am now settled in London, England. I studied Architecture in Ohio before moving to Edinburgh, Scotland to earn my Master of Fine Arts in Interior Architectural Design at the Edinburgh College of Art. My interest in people’s responses to their environment inspired my analysis of workplaces for my master's thesis. From that experience, I want to increase well-being and productivity for people in any space they occupy on a regular basis. Understanding different cultures has always been a passion of mine, and I took chances to live in India, Germany, Italy, Scotland and now England. Living in one place for an extended period has shown me the similarities among people the world over, but also how differently people adapt their spaces to their environment and relate to one another. I take pride in the fact that my travels have increased my empathy and understanding when interacting with people from a background different to my own. In addition to architecture and interior design, I also draw, paint, take photographs and create graphic designs. In my spare time I haunt art galleries and dabble in embroidery, sewing and fashion. I love learning about the design and history of furniture. I am fascinated by films, their art and production, and like to think about costume and set design. And last but not least, I am a voracious reader and am never without a book in hand.
